How come your prices
are so much lower than the First Aid Van Companies?
Simple, we don't have a fleet of gas-eating
first aid vans cruising around all day, and we don't have commissioned
sales reps to pay. We ship your first aid supplies directly to you from
our fully-stocked distribution center in the Heart of America. And you
can expect to save as much as 60% from what the
typical first aid van service charges for the same products. Lower
costs for us means lower prices for you, it's
pretty much that simple!
Our Van Driver says
his prices are higher because he's providing a service.
Would you pay someone to come every month &
wash your windshield for you? That's a "service", isn't it?
Some services don't have that much value, especially if it's something
you can easily do yourself. I guess that's why most people pump
their own gas and buy milk at a super-market instead of using a
milk-man. Restocking a first aid cabinet is a lot like that.
It isn't rocket-science, and you can easily do it yourself without
paying someone to do it for you. (see next question, below)
Our Van Company
Restocks our kit for us ... how do we know what we need to keep our kits
OSHA & ANSI Z308.1 compliant?
Our Free Replenishment Guides make it easy
for you to keep your first aid kits or cabinets OSHA and ANSI Z308.1
compliant. Just select the replenishment guide that most closely matches
the first aid kit or cabinet you have. The handy replenishment guides
detail the items you need to be OSHA and ANSI Z308.1 compliant, as well
as the items you should have (but are not required to). You
can sign up for our FREE Reminder Service or get
FREE replenishment guides online whenever you want.
Our First Aid Van
Service comes by every month to check our kits for us...do you guys do
that?
No. That's
part of how we save you money. But if you sign up for our FREE
Reminder Service, we'll send you a fax or e-mail when it's time
to take a look at your first aid kit contents. Just tell us what
size kit(s) you have, and how often you want to be reminded, and we will
send you a handy replenishment guide that makes restocking your own kits
a snap!
Our First Aid Kits
say they must be serviced and maintained by a "first aid
professional" to be OSHA/ANSI compliant. Is that really true?
No. Nowhere in OSHA regulations or ANSI
Z308.1 standards does it specify who must service or
maintain first aid kits or cabinets. There is no stated definition
of the term "first aid professional", nor is there
a published protocol for testing, certifying or licensing those engaged
in the maintaining of first aid kits (unless you count a driver's
license). Any such claim is a deliberate attempt to deceive you into
buying from a first aid van service. (at their exorbitantly high
prices!)
If I restock my own
kit, how do I know where things should go?
It really doesn't matter where things go,
as long as the supplies are accessible, and their location makes sense
to you. When you restock your own first aid kit, you will be more
familiar with its' contents, than if someone does it for you. Every
organization should have at least one person familiar with the first aid
supplies, and the easiest way to insure that, is by restocking your own
first aid kit. If a van driver is the only one that knows your kit,
where will he be when you have a first aid emergency?
How is restocking
our own kits better for the environment?
When you restock your own first aid kits, you get
your supplies shipped directly to you on a common carrier (usually UPS
or FedEx Ground) who's probably delivering something to you anyway.
That's a lot more efficient than someone cruising around all day in a
gas-guzzling, carbon-spewing, first aid van, delivering a box or two of
over-priced bandages. So, not only are you saving money, you're helping
save the environment. Any way you look at it, that's a win-win. Go

How soon can I
expect to receive my order?
That depends on where you are located.
Orders ship from our centrally located facility in Overland Park,
Kansas, typically within 24 hours of receiving them. Most orders
travel via FedEx Ground or UPS, and can be expected to reach their
destination within 2-3 working days (+ or - a day, depending on
your location). See
delivery map
My First Aid Van
Driver says he can match all your prices, so why should we buy from you?
Maybe you
should ask your van driver, "if you could give us better prices,
how come you didn't (until now)? You might also ask him how long
the new, lower prices are good for, and how soon will they be back up to
where they were. (They will go back up, sooner or later, we've
seen it many, many times).
How much will my
shipping cost be?
If your order totals $50 or more, we pay the
shipping, and unlike most first aid van companies, we never
surprise you with an additional "fuel surcharge". Since
no commercial carrier delivers goods for free, it is necessary for us to
charge for shipping on smaller orders (less than $50). Click here

charges.
What if I have
a contract with a First Aid Van Service?
If you are in a one-sided contract with a First
Aid Van Company, there may not be much you can do but wait for it to
expire. When it does, you might consider getting your supplies
from a company that doesn't require a contract, and allows you to buy
wherever you can get the best deal. With our prices and our
service, we don't need contacts. You buy from us on your
terms, and we will never try to bully you with a "one-sided,
bogus discount off inflated prices, we'll sue you if you quit buying
from us" contract.
What's the
difference between OSHA approved and ANSI Z308.1 compliant first
aid kits?
None, really. OSHA
standard 1910.151 (b) states ... an employer must have "adequate
first aid supplies..readily available". OSHA does not detail
specific first aid product requirements, yet does reference ANSI
Z308.1-2003 Minimum Requirements for Workplace First Aid Kits. Details
about specific first aid items that should be included in an ANSI
compliant first aid kit can be obtained here. ANSI

What if I
need to return something?
No problem! We offer a 100%
Satisfaction Guarantee on everything we sell.
If, for any reason, you wish to return an item (within 30 days of
purchase), you may return it to us, in it's original packaging, in
saleable condition, and receive a full refund for the purchase price of
the returned product.
How can I get
in touch with you if I have a question or problem?
We can be reached by telephone during regular
business hours (M-F / 8:00-4:30 central) at
913-681-5163, (and the phone is answered by a real live person). Or,
anytime by fax, e-mail, U.S. Mail, or through our special online
communication form. See the contact
us section for more detailed contact information.
Will my credit
card be charged before goods are shipped?
No. Our order processing system only allows us to
bill for items at the time of shipment. As much as we try to avoid it,
we are occasionally forced to ship an incomplete order. Any
back-ordered items will not be charged until they are actually shipped.
Is my credit
card information secure when I order on your web site?
Absolutely. Our web site incorporates Secure
Socket Layer (SSL), 128-bit data encryption technology, insuring that
your sensitive credit card data is transmitted and received in encrypted
form, and is deleted after your order is successfully processed. See our
internet
security page for more details.
Do you share
any customer information with other companies?
No. We don't like getting
"spammed" any more that you do, so we will never, under any
circumstances, share your e-mail address, or any other customer
information with any third-party. See our privacy
policy for more details |
