5
Things Your First Aid Van Driver
Doesn't Want You to Know...
... and
probably isn't going to tell you!
|
|
1.
When your First Aid Van Driver comes by to restock your kits or
cabinets, look out! First Aid Van Drivers have been known
to replace boxes of goods that are only partially
used, replacing them with full boxes of product, at full
price. That's like paying $7-$8 each time you use just a
few bandages from your kit. Why would anyone want to do
that? |
|
| 2.
If your first aid van driver quotes prices, yet offers nothing
in writing, beware! Sure, they may say they
can beat anyone's published price, but for how long? If there's
nothing in writing, their price can go up at any time, and
probably will. This is what sales trainers refer to as the old "low-ball,
then up-grade". In fact, most first aid van
companies put constant pressure on their drivers to increase
their profit margins...any way they can. Wouldn't
you be smart to have all your prices in writing? |
|
| 3.
Is your First Aid Van Driver an "authority" on first
aid? Sure....like a milk-man is an "authority"
on nutrition. The fact is, it doesn't take an expert to
restock a first aid cabinet. If you get one of our free
replenishment guides, you can easily do it
yourself, and save plenty. And, you will
be more familiar with your own first aid supplies...very
handy during a first aid emergency! |
|
| 4.
Think your first aid van service delivers goods for free? Maybe
you should check your invoice. Most first aid van companies are
now adding a "fuel surcharge" to each
invoice (usually around $6-$8). That's just another term
for "delivery charge!" Maybe they think
they're fooling you by calling it something other than what
really it is! |
|
| 5.
Most First Aid Van Drivers know that if they show up faithfully,
each month, you will feel obligated to buy from them, even
if their price is higher. Those "courtesy
calls" are designed for nothing more than to earn their
sales commission, and cover their travel expenses.
There is no real "value-added" when your van
driver is charging you for something you can easily do
yourself....for a lot less! |
|
and
this, just in....
It was recently reported that the Chairman of one of the major
first aid van service companies received a compensation package
over its last fiscal year of over $22 million, including $11
million in bonuses and $9.6 million in stock options. No wonder
those van companies need to "stick it to you!"
(Hey, jet fuel and vacation homes aren't free, you know!) |
